COST	BREAKDOWN	/	COSTS	TO	CONSIDER	FOR	YOUR	HOUSEBOAT	HOLIDAY

We	recommend	you	hire	What	A	Pleasure	Houseboat	on	a	"dry	boat"	basis. This	means	that	fuel	is	not
included	(along	with	catering,	drinks	ice,	national	park	fees	and	transfers).

If	you	would	like	to	have	a	"wet	boat"	rate	(fuel	included)	then	please	add	$130	per	night	to	the	rate
you	have	been	quoted. Please	note	that	if	you	opt	for	a	wet	boat	rate	(pre-payment	for	fuel)	you	will
be	restricted	to	an	itinerary. At	present	this	would	be:

        • 1	night	charter	may	only	go	as	far	as-	Antelope	/	Zebra	Island
        • 2	night	charter	may	only	go	as	far	as-	Gache	Gache	/	Palm	Bay
        • 3	night	charter	may	only	go	as	far	as-	Palm	bay	/	Sanyati	West/Changa
        • 4	night	charter	may	only	go	as	far	as-	Gordon’s	Bay
        • 5	night	charter	may	only	go	as	far	as-	Elephant	point
        • 6	night	charter	may	only	go	as	far	as-	Umi	River

It	is	always	more	economical	to	hire	a	houseboat	on	a	dry	boat	rate	and	pay	for	the	fuel	you	use	at	the
        end	of	the	charter.

From	past	charters	we	have	seen	that	no	one	ever	seems	to	go	over	the	$100	per	night	mark	for	fuel
(on	the	houseboat,	the	2	tender	boats	and	the	generator). We	can't	give	you	an	exact	estimate	of	fuel
usage	as	it	all	depends	on	the	itinerary	travelled,	what	the	weather	is	like	and	how	often	you	go	out
        fishing	etc.

        Food	/	Catering

You	can	either	bring	your	own	food,	which	our	cook	on	board	will	gladly	prepare	for	you,	or	we	can
arrange	catering	for	you	if	you	don’t	want	the	hassle	of	shopping,	menu	planning	and	slogging
        everything	up	to	Kariba.

Please	see	below	the	menu	options	from	Kariba	Catering	(based	at	Marineland)

Fisherman’s	Menu	U$40	per	person	per	night
Basic/Family	Menu	U$	45	per	person	per	night
Executive	Menu	U$	50	per	person	per	night

Please	note	however	that	catering	does	not	include	cleaning	or	toiletry	items	such	as	dishwasher,
soap,	bin	bags,	toilet	rolls	etc.	but	can	be	included	on	request	at	an	additional	charge.	Please	note	if
you	are	self	catering,	you	also	need	to	bring	these	items.
