Normal circulatory function is essential to maintaining life. A person who is bleeding profusely and is unresponsive requires immediate first aid attention to stop the bleeding.
One of the vital sign used to monitor a casualty is the pulse rate. An abnormal pulse rate may indicate the onset of serious clinical events.
