DEFINITIONS
Adult
The term Adult is used in the manual to describe a person over 8 years of age.
Child
A Child is defined as a person aged 1 to 8 years old.
Infant
An Infant is described as a baby younger than 1 years of age.
CPR
CPR is a shortened abbreviation for Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation.
AED
An AED is a Automatic or Semi Automatic defibrillator that is designed to assess a casualty’s heart rhythm and if necessary deliver a shock in an attempt to restore normal cardiac rhythm.
