Slum Dog Millionaire made its way into both the hearts and minds of viewers as it popped onto the American scene as the feel-good movie of the decade. Nominated for ten Academy Awards in 2009, grabbing an eight it was the introduction of Bollywood to Amer- ican Cinema Enthusiasts. The vibrant colors, melodic tempo, and open-air rooftops showed American cul- ture the interweaving of present-day child sex labor; outhouses of shit mountain high; and the inner resolve of a youngster with a bigger dream fueled by the love for and of a girl.
The celebration of culture and mistreatment of child laborers brought to notice, an influx of south-central Asia inhabitants within the community. Contributing to the question of where and why they are coming and of why often so rude to those not looking like them. The rumors circulating the opening of Indian Bazaars on the corners of the lots connecting the neighbor- hoods growing in populations representing the culture settled. Staying with a buzz regarding the contributions of government funding provided to the foreigners go- ing towards business development.
The community appeared to grow at an astounding rate as if cousins called everyone and invited them to this new land called America. Incentives to move and receive the riches of not so unique opportunities in a new area. Come, come, don’t worry. We will stay to- gether and save while discovering the territories to set up our places. We must first learn and research the area. There are plenty of jobs, much land, and many univer- sities. The US Government will issue citizenship for serving in a branch of the military, worry not. Plenty of opportunities, just come, it will work out. The truth of the matter is high percentages of Indians receive degrees in science, technology, and engineering. They have been working remotely for decades and traveling
