true love and fellowship is when she met her most prominent advocate. Her new self, birthed from the work of seeing and understanding the world. Tony Robbins, Fire-Walking, Jack Canfield, Deepak Chopra are a few of the gurus that help both the privileged and unprivileged discover a sense of purpose when willing to do the work of breaking old mindsets. This process worked for her.
A new attitude, a new body, and a new identity began a new career. Strength of the inner woman shines ex- teriorly. For the first time, she was being looked upon to become a model, and a model is who she became. In five years’, time, becoming a model in 2012, her femi- ninity body creative side came alive. She surrendered to loving herself without judgment. Starring in over 50 national and international brands 100 photoshoots.
She goes on an average of one audition per week and books about one job a week. In the beginning, she went on several go-sees a week. The work pays off as now her groove has developed where people ask for her now by name. Some of the brands she has booked are Land- mark Bank; Zoe’s Kitchen; Bye, Bye Baby.
The best job by far she has booked came about at 39 1⁄2 years old when she became a mother. After moth- erhood, she eased up on the auditions as she feels the modeling helped her to love herself in a way that caused her baby to come as her spirit was not formally in a place to have carried a healthy seed to even get pregnant before her departure to the silent meditation retreat. The idea of what you’re supposed to be ways oppressive in a way that the eternal question to who I am echoes so loudly that creates dissension exclusive where no life can live.
Now at 42, she knows it was the pure love of herself is what attracted and continues to attract the casting agents, designers, and photographers to her. It doesn’t matter what you think you look like, if you have real confidence in who you are and how you feel about you then do the job you’re hired to do and stop thinking in judgmental terms. That is the exact difference in the haves and have nots the ability to recognize true beau- ty in the mind, body, and spirit you possess nothing else matters if you can’t rest easy and wake up refreshed knowing you’ve been your best and given your best.
Something that doesn’t come easy when you live a su- perficial lifestyle because you don’t even know why you’re unhappy; you know something doesn’t feel right. The award that knocks Purvi off her socks came when she was awarded Best Model of Year Award DFW. Whoever said, the requirement notes as tall and skinny to be a model is a liar! We the people of the world buy the products and the products represented must represent the buyers or the buyers shouldn’t spend their money, bottom line.
The competitive nature of the Indian community did not receive her well as becoming this beautiful, confi- dent, kind, human being. The snarls and gossiping gen- uinely hurtful. Purvi couldn’t have previously imagined herself to be living life without some of the people she had spent most of her time within her large social circles. They turned their back on her and spoke harshly towards her as if she had done some unspeakable act. As a kind soul in a position to find yourself at a crossroads of liv- ing a life someone else foresees for you to live and living a life of destiny chosen for you to be and discover your most fabulous self. The only choice is the road that is best for your wellbeing even if that means you travel the path alone without the ones that you had come to know as your closest friends.
The pain and hurt from your closet friends serve to be a plater left to rot and die is not a friend but the truest of enemies as they smile in your face and plot against your demise. Purvi never knew she would be able to become a successful model until the person thought to be her most prominent advocate told her she would never make it. As previously mentioned, the child that creates the dis- cipline out of a hunger to be better and more than the circumstances had planned rises to the top out of sheer will and determination of proving it can be done, of hop- ing for a better future. The blueprint comes by way of the efforts put forth by your spirit. The silence spent alone awakens the inner child that discovers a new land. And to a playful child safe to explore and learn, nothing is im- possible. Happily married, joyful parent and a fantastic friend happen to be who she became when she unlocked the shackles and stepped out of the bondage of the cul- tural norms of an Indian-American.
