   Gurie Sheffield
 A Given Legend
      -Andrea Pernell
It was an exciting day for me and Gurie when I con- nected with him. He had just gotten word that he landed another role. This guy is hungry and is not afraid to sit down and eat. The unique thing about Mr. Sheffield is that he was in the movie Friday Night Lights while at- tending Carter High. A lot of the game clips used in the movie he was actually apart of and he says that the team was given free tickets to watch the show. As expected they were so hyped to be on the big screen that none of the other patrons were able to fully enjoy the show. I thought it was beautiful and this is probably why they host sepa- rate premiere parties for the stars in Hollywood. I mean, come on, a group of talented high school boys staying calm when their legendary season was filmed and they were featured in the Hollywood production, remaining calm? Impossible! Within the next few months, I was ready to do something else. In January of 2016, I signed a modeling contract and got tired of that pretty quickly too. Two weeks later I was on Queen of the South (QOTS), season one.
So, you were on a back to back success streak!? He laughed - I wouldn’t call it back to back; there were definitely some gaps for a few months. I had to figure stuff out and do what I needed to do in order to keep going. I was tired of clocking in and out because I was still maintaining regu- lar work. Even when I started acting full time, I tried to

do both but when season two came around they offered
