S.L.U.T
S.L.U.T! (S)ociety’s (L)abels (U)nfairly (T)argeting Women!
When I asked men to define the word slut I got vari- ous answers “Slut is a woman with the morals of a man!” and “A sexually promiscuous woman who uses or profits sexual favors for her personal gain... (Ex: Escorts, Pros- titutes, Pornstars, Stripper)” “ A money slut and a sexual slut.” “A woman viewed unworthy of meeting my moth- er.” The Money SLUT (gold-digger) had me a little con- fused, because every man knows the allure of success and wealth increases his attractiveness to most women... Why else do men floss, get nice cars, rims, jewelry to portray that they have it going on financially to attract women? These women of your past the so called gold-diggers aren’t la- beled as sluts because they cater to your ego,

Slut or slattern is a term applied to an individual who is considered to have loose sexual morals or who is sex- ually promiscuous. The accepted denotative meaning is a sexually promiscuous woman[2] or “a woman of a low or loose character; a bold or impudent girl; a hussy, jade”. It is safe to say since the beginning of time men have gov- erned the world as leaders and for the most part they are responsible for society’s standards of acceptance. So I am willing to bet the origins of the word “SLUT” was creat- ed by men! I believe it’s the most successful ATTEMPT at mind control especially when you look at how public perception associated with labels affect women’s actions, thoughts and self image.
I found that most men view a woman who was promis- cuous as a slut, whore, hoe or T.H.O.T. (That Hoe Over There). Are these really fair terms to use when defining a woman for being involved in different sexual relationships with her boyfriends / husbands? Is there a particular num- ber of bed mates that qualifies a woman to be placed in the SLUT category by most men? I came across a picture of Kim Kardashian for example: she is a beautiful young business woman that has a career in fashion a hit reality show TV series, and has dated several celebrities in the Hollywood industry. Kim K however became discovered by America in 2007 with her illicit sex tape with her then boyfriend Ray J that was leaked and went viral. When I asked most men what they thought of her the majori- ty said, “Kim K.... A talentless broad that’s been Sucking

dick to stay relevant.” and “I think she’s a slut!” “She is using her pussy to gain status.... Slut.” I was shocked at the many responses received from men. I wondered how could a woman that was simply having sex with her boyfriend be viewed as a slut? I began to look at my- self to ask if my past would have me labeled as a “SLUT” Most women over 30 years old rather she was single all her life, married or even divorced have a list of sex part- ners, Could we all be categorized as sluts if we have sex with our boyfriends, or husband’s and someone records it? Kim K is no different than the average woman in her mid- 30’s who is single and dating. Each of the men the tabloids linked to Kim K were all men in a relationship with her. I felt she was no different than myself and most women she just happens to be a public figure, and her business is continuously blasted all over talk shows and social media. I feel that if most women had a magnified glass over their dating life and relationships we would all be viewed as sluts. The double standards that exist in
