“MAKE IT OUT ALIVE” was written as a
reflection on that time—and honestly, on
the world at large. Unbeknownst to most, I
have a degree in Sociology, which I
pursued after my trip to Cambodia, and
I’m hyper-aware of how society and the
industries that “make the world go ‘round”
operate. That song was me voicing my
frustration with both the music industry
and society as a whole – writing the song
was very empowering and cathartic all at
                                            the same time.

“HIGH,” on the other hand, was written
for a friend and wasn’t originally meant to
be released. But when I shared it with her
—and saw how much she, and others,
connected with it—I realized it had a life of
its own. It’s got a strong message and an
uplifting beat, and I released it hoping that
                                            anyone going through depression, anxiety,
or sadness could listen to it and maybe, POZE MAGAZINE With your latest single,
