JUSTIN ALLAN - EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, MADGE COACHLINES LTD/UZABUS
Justin is the third generation in the family business and has been around buses his whole life. His experience in the industry spans over 25 years, from his days as a diesel mechanic managing the company workshop to his position now as Executive Director of the Uzabus group.
e Uzabus group operates a range of services from MoE and bulk-funded contracts, private contracts, urban services, charters and tours.
Justin’s role on Council in recent years has been the Chair of the Technical Committee, which has involved engaging in numerous industry issues relating to small and large passenger vehicles. He is excited to continue being on Council.
BILL NIMON - MANAGING DIRECTOR, NIMON AND SONS
Bill has 43 years of experience in the transport industry, 16 of which as Managing Director of Nimon and Sons, which has been in the family for over 100 years. e business operates in almost all areas of bus and coach transport, including school, fare collection, long-distance transfers, charters, tours, cruise ships and private car services.
Bill has been on the Council for 13 years and this experience, as
well as being a smaller independent operator, makes him an ideal repre- sentative. Bill trusts that he brings a good independent view and balance to the Council.
Bill enjoys involvement in the future direction of the BCA and has a true passion for the industry. His various roles within freight transport and passenger transport help him bring a breadth of knowledge to the table.
MIKE BICKLEY - MANAGING DIRECTOR, GOLDEN BAY COACHLINES
Mike is the sole owner of Golden Bay Coachlines, operating in Golden Bay and Murchison and providing school transport, charter, rental and route services.
Mike has been in the industry since
1982 and a BCA Council member for
over 20 years. In the past, he has been
on the BCA’s technical and school
transport committee. He says he “is
not yet nished with New Zealand’s
out-of-date transport laws” and is looking forward to another term in the hopes of making it easier for the next generation.
