Chapter 1: Preflight Action and Inspection

               The remote PIC must complete a preflight familiarization, inspection, and other actions, such as
               crewmember briefings, prior to beginning flight operations.  Before beginning any sUAS flight,
               operation.

                   ✓  Assess the operating environment including local weather conditions, local airspace, flight
                       restrictions, the location of person and property on the surface, and other ground hazards.
                   ✓  Inform any supporting crewmembers about the operation and their roles and including
                       operating  conditions,  emergency  procedures,  contingency  procedures,  roles  and
                       responsibilities of each person involved in the operation, as well as potential hazards.
                   ✓  Inspect the sUAS to see that it is in a condition for safe operation, ensuring that all control
                       links between the control station and the small unmanned sircraft are working properly,
                       there is sufficient power to continue controlled flight operations to a normal landing, any
                       object attached or carried by the sUAS is secure an does not adversely affect the flight
                       characteristics or controllability of the aircraft and the unique identifier is readily accessible
                       and visible upon inspection of the sUAS.
                   ✓  Maintain documents require din the event of an on-site FAA inspection, including the
                       remote PIC’s Remote Pilot Certificate, aircraft registration (if required), and Certificate of
                       Waiver (COW) (if applicable).
