SPRINGHILL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Accredited by The Joint Commission, Springhill Memorial Hospital is a full-service, 252-bed acute care hospital serving the residents of southwest Alabama. It is a key component of Springhill Medical Center, which was founded in 1975 by Dr. and Mrs. Gerald Wallace in Mobile, Alabama. Surgical services include outpa7ent,
inpa7ent, open-heart, and robo7c surgery. They also offer advanced diagnos7c equipment, including a 320- slice CT, high-field MRI, and digital mammography, across all clinical special7es. The campus is home to primary care physicians, a senior residence, sleep center, cancer center, athle7c club, orthopedic surgery center, wound care & hyperbaric center,
and an emergency department.
PROVIDENCE HOSPITAL
Accredited by The Joint Commission, Providence Hospital is a full service, 349-bed medical/surgical facility located on a 277-acre campus in west Mobile. Since its founding in 1854, Providence has been serving the people of Mobile and surrounding areas. Sponsored by Ascension Health, the na7on's largest Catholic and largest non-profit healthcare system, the hospital's mission is to extend its healing ministry to
south Alabama and southeast Mississippi, with a special concern for persons who are poor and vulnerable. Specialized services offered at Providence include open- heart surgery, cardiac catheteriza7on, cancer services, an obstetrics unit with labor/delivery/recovery/postpartum suites, a dedicated pediatrics unit, a freestanding rehabilita7on and wellness center, and an Outpa7ent Center with dedicated outpa7ent diagnos7c services and surgical suites.
