Chazal teach us that a talmid can only learn from a Rebbi
that is similar to a ‘v ltkn an angel of Hashem.
If the talmid sees that his Rebbi is
single mindedly focused on the growth of his talmidim–
as angels are focused only on their particular mission,
and that his motives are pure, as angels are,
then the Rebbi’s message will penetrate deeply into
the hearts of his talmidim.

This may be the secret for the ‘magical’ success we have
seen in Reb Chanina’s talmidim over the years.
It is this formula which Reb Chanina has turned into a ‘standard’.
A standard which has become identified with Toras Chaim.

With our heartfelt ,ufrc that Hashem should grant him
and his esteemed Rebbetzin, who stands behind his every effort,
and his entire family, who willingly share him with his talmidim,
