Schools and districts around the country have been working tirelessly to provide services for their students and families during this unprecedented time. As the days away from school move to weeks, we understand that your students’ emotional well-being is important to you, which is why providing social and emotional learning is so critical right now.
Edgenuity, in partnership with Purpose Prep, offers a comprehensive social and emotional learning curriculum for students in grades 6–12, with K–5 curriculum available in the fall. This partnership gives educators access to a premier library of SEL curriculum, which is designed to set students on the path to success, purpose, and happiness, and aligns to the five SEL competencies defined by CASEL.
The content-specific curriculum is built for educators to use the full courses or the modules within them for prevention and empowerment for all students, or for intervention and restorative justice for individual students. And the curriculum is available in the Edgenuity learning management system, giving educators access to user-friendly customization tools and at-a-glance data and reporting.
Using this curriculum, students will learn to understand their behaviors, process their emotions, and develop strategies for problem-solving when confronting challenges or needing redirection. Each multimedia-rich lesson features the Purpose Prep experts, a diverse group of real people from around the world with varied experience that brings learning to life with conversations about timely, relevant topics.
However educators use the curriculum, it can increase academic success, improve attitudes toward school, develop pro-social behavior, and reduce stress, anxiety, and depression.
