For I am like those who gather

Like those who glean vintage grapes; From Assyria and the fortified cities,
There is no cluster to eat From the fortress to the River,
Of the first-ripe fruit which my soul From sea to sea,
                           desires. And mountain to mountain.
                                                            13
2 The faithful man has perished from Yet the land shall be desolate
the earth, Because of those who dwell in it,
And there is no one upright among men. And for the fruit of their deeds.
They all lie in wait for blood; 14 Shepherd Your people with Your staff,
Every man hunts his brother with a net. The flock of Your heritage,
