Welcome to Soroptimist International of Port Orchard

Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization working to

improve the lives of women and girls through programs
leading to social and economic empowerment.

Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA) is comprised of
nearly 1300 clubs in 20 countries and territories. SIA convenes
every other year in even numbered years for convention.

SIA is broken into regions. We are in Northwestern Region
(NWR). It is comprised of states that make up the acronym

WOMAN—Washington, Oregon, Montana, Alaska, Northern
Idaho. Region conference is in April.

NWR is made up of four Districts. We are in District 1, which
cover the I-5 corridor and Alaska. District meeting is in
October.

Districts have Areas. The clubs in our area include Bremerton,
North Kitsap, Gig Harbor, Olympic Rain Forest, Port Angeles,
Port Angeles Jet Set, Sequim and Port Orchard.

Our club meets the second Tuesday of the month at noon and
the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5:30 PM. The board meets
at 5:30 PM the first Tuesday of the month.
