CREW DC ANNUAL AWARDS
Most Creative Marketing Award: JBG SMITH, Gensler
SEPTEMBER 27, 2018 and Of Place for the Phase Zero campaign. CREW DC
members involved included Kara Alter, Leanne Berthiaume,
and Kristen Scharer. The Most Creative Marketing Award
recognizes a company or individual who has developed
the most creative and effective advertising or marketing
program promoting commercial real estate, including
projects, transactions, and initiatives.
2018 HOLIDAY PARTY

The member’s only event was held December 6th at The
Loft, 600 F Street, and featured President Barb Mackin
CREW DC held its annual awards event on Thursday, sharing this past year’s accomplishments as well as welcoming
September 27th at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium incoming President Lynn Stith Bennett. Members noshed
to celebrate achievements in the commercial real estate on lobster rolls, crab cakes, pork tenderloin, and mushroom
industry. More than 400 guests attended the event, risotto. Signature cocktails included the Mackin Martini
recognizing leaders, industry-leading transactions, and the You Bennett Not Call Me Old Fashioned. Members

that demonstrated excellence within the Washington, DC event, while a slideshow looking back at 2018 played and
real estate industry. Lynn gave a peek into plans for CREW DC’s upcoming 40th
anniversary year. A good time was had by all.

Placemaking Award: JBG SMITH, CBRE, Rosslyn BID and
Beyer Blinder Bell Architects for Central Place. CREW DC

Burick, Jill Goubeaux, Kara Alter, Samantha Ralli, and Jessica
Anderson. The Placemaking award recognizes a team who
worked together on a development, major renovation, or
redevelopment project that demonstrated excellence in
functionality, aesthetics, and relationship to surroundings.
