Steve Baker is a self-described creative
homebody, the head Gnomie of The
Sophisticated Gnome® in fact, with a penchant
for the elegant and the quirky. He describes
his creative process as a slow brewing pot
he fills with a touch of improbability, a pinch
of the practical to keep it real, and a dash of
self-indulgent eccentricity all stirred counter-
clockwise, then shaken and poured into its
final mold ever so gingerly. That is Artful
