CIVIL WAR IN CHINA / MAO’s REDS vs CHIANG’s
NATIONALISTS
A major civil war breaks out in China between the governing Kuomintang
(KMT or Chinese nationalist Party) and the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The anti-Communist Chiang Kai Shek leads the KMT. The Red guerillas are
led by Mao Tse Tung, who himself is supported by Comintern boss Joe Stalin.
This bloody civil war will eventually blend into the Asian theater of World War
II vs Japan, and finally end with Communist victory in 1949.
