P. 9

29 All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before him– those who cannot
        keep themselves alive.
        30 Posterity will serve him; future generations will be told about the Lord.
        31 They will proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn– for he has done it.
                                                        Psalm 23

                                                     A psalm of David.

        1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
        2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
        3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
        4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and
        your staff, they comfort me.

        5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
        6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

                                                        Psalm 24

                                                    Of David. A psalm.

        1  The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;
        2 for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

        3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?
        4 He who has clean hands and pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.
        5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his Saviour.
        6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.

        7 Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
        8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
        9 Lift up your heads, O you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
        10 Who is he, this King of glory? The LORD Almighty– he is the Kind of glory.

                                                        Psalm 25

                                                        Of David.

        1  To you, O LORD, I lift up my soul;
        2 in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.
        3 No on whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without
        excuse.

        4 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths;
        5 guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in you all day long.
        6 Remember, O LORD, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old.
        7 Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good,
        O LORD.

        8 Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in his ways.
        9 He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.
        10 All the ways of the LORD are loving and faithful for those who keep the demands of his covenant.
        11 For the sake of your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, though it is great.
        12 Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him.
        13 He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land.
        14 The LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.
        15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.

        16 Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.

        17 The troubles of my heart have multiplied; free me from my anguish.
        18 Look upon my affliction and my distress and take away all sins.
        19 See how my enemies have increase and how fiercely they hate me!
        20 Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you.
        21 May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.
