Downs. As a three year old, he was consigned to the Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale, held at Heritage Place on Nov.2-3, 2018, where he was purchased by José Rodríguez for the San Rafael Stables, for $8,500 dollars.
In his three year old year, he easily won
two open races in Tonala, Jalisco, and a Derby
in Sahuayo, Michoacan. In 2020, in alliance
with Cuadra San Rafael and Cuadra La Morita,
he was nominated to the Maturity Millanaro Internacional. Before the trials, he participated in races at Satevó Race Track, where he started to show notorious superiority and to call the attention of those involved in Quarter Horse races in Mexico.
In the first two stages he only ratified that supremacy, leaving his rivals without a chance: first he won the 13th trial on Sept. 3 and then he did the same in the sextet on Oct. 17; Jesse Jrs Tambien (“El Santo Niño”) was second and will run the consolation race.
The unanimous opinion is that he is “the rival to beat” in the final, where he is a strong favorite. C You Soon is one of the six horses registered
to the Maturity for the alliance between the Cuadras La Morita and San Rafael, whose training is in charge of Héctor Martín López, disciple of Don Rafael López Tirado, his father. He regrets the death of one of his horses, “El Pókar”, as a result of colic. “However, thanks
to God and also to the excellent work of my team we have two in the final and one in the Consolation,” he commented. Satisfied with the performance of C You Soon he continues, “He is a great horse that has fulfilled the challenges like a champion, showing his quality and heart as he has matured. If he is not crowned winner in this maturity, he has already earned the affection and respect of his audience,” he concluded.

The sporting career of this formidable runner has been in unofficial competitions. As a two year old, he won the Open Futurity at the Hipodromo in Hermosillo, Sonora, and later the Millionaire Futurity at the Hipodromo El Fresno, in Culiacán, Sinaloa. Those were the foundations for his sports growth that have led him to be among the best runners in Mexico in four years, participating in different scenarios in top level races.
Today, he is a finalist in the Maturity Millanaro Internacional, along with other no less prominent runners. For this, he won the fifth trial on Sept. 3, beating Fishin Paint (“El Negociante”) and Raised Right (“La Sucesora”), advancing to the semifinal where he was part of a quartet considered the most powerful, coming out victorious by a head difference; he left Outta Sight (“El Italiano”) in second place, whom he had already defeated two years ago.
Bet The Cartel was acquired as a yearling by Rafael R. Macias, in Los Alamitos Equine Sale of 2015, for a price of $21,000 dollars.
His trainer, Héctor Martín López, mentions that, “He is also a very fast and noble horse, who delivers everything in every competition.”

A native of Oklahoma, this 4-year-old gelding raced in the United States until Dec. 29, 2019, with a record of 4(1)-2-2 in 14 outs; his earnings total $168,695. His main achievement was winning the Hobbs America Derby-G3, and he was fifth in the Championship At Sunland Park-G1.
He advanced to the semifinals, winning the first race on September 3; then he won the semi- finalist quintet by the slightest margin against Fiery Kimbo (“El Grano de Oro”), from the La Morita / San Rafael team and three other rivals.
Fantastic Feature Jr was purchased at the 2020 Winter Mixed Sale, held at Heritage
Place, Oklahoma, for $75,000. His training was entrusted to the experienced José Antonio Solé Ceniceros, in the Tres Marías Stables, located in San Pedro de Las Colonias, Coahuila.
“The horse had joint and tendon problems. Fortunately, he has responded very well to the treatment applied and the training to play in shorter distances than he used to,” commented Solé. “He is a medium sized horse with very harmonic shapes for running. I feel we have a chance in the final, but it all depends on how the race is approached. We are not among the favorites, but we were not in the semifinal either and we advanced, with the support of José Ángel Ambrosio and the whole team.”

When he won the All American Gold Gup-G1, Germán Amaya, his owner described the horse, “He is a humble horse. He doesn’t give problems and is simply quiet. This horse is amazing. A description that many surely agree with when they see him in the final of the maturity with the opportunity to be the protagonist”.
On Sept. 3 he took his first step by winning the 15th trial, while his second was on Oct. 17, when he dominated by a small margin the bull- dog Genereightor (“El Generador”) and three other powerful rivals.
