Juvenile Championship
JESS A REASON

The ten finalists of this open futurity were obtained through three trials, to which
28 two year olds were entered. They raced a distance of 400 yards on Nov. 22, with nine
of the 10 qualifiers returning to the finals, due to the death of the colt Ehecatl AT. They com- peted for a purse of $1,180,100 pesos (approx. $58,229 US) in the finals.
Jess A Reason was the fastest quali-
fier (:19.602), followed closely by One Happestance, who registered :19.634. These runners arrived in first and second place respectively.
Jess A Reason (#1) took the lead from the start and, as he exhausted the distance, he imposed his dominance with ease until cross- ing the finish line 1 3/4-lengths in front of the gelding One Happestance, stopping the clock in :19.41, for a 97 speed index. Jockey Jose Angel Ambrosio Medina was responsible for this feat, which is his second win in three outs.
The sorrel colt was bred in the United States by Turner Farms. He is by Good Reason SA and out of Jess Send Me (by Feature Mr Jess). He is owned by Cuadra Baldeli and comes from the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale, where he was purchased by Doctor Rachuán Suárez, DVM for the men- tioned stable located in the State of Chiapas.
For this triumph, the colt added $495,542 pesos (approx. $24,456 US) to his earnings. He was saddled by Ismael Ayala Salas who, along with José Ángel Ambrosio, received the trophies during the awards ceremony.
One Happestance (One Fabulous Eagle- Beaus Wagon) was second place with jockey Israel Dominguez at the helm, for the benefit of the H-R Team and trainer Ismael Ayala Salas, responsible for saddling him.
The filly Mi Thai (Valiant Hero-SS Pamilla) finished third, under the direction of Mario Alberto López Marmolejo. She represents the colors of the H-R Stable, and it was also Ismael Ayala Salas who was in charge of saddling her, thus making a 1, 2, 3 at the finish line.
The other participants finished in the fol- lowing order: MP Thru Corona (Walk Thru Fire-Corona Crystal); Dream Of The Empire (FDD Dynasty-Jesst A Dream); Klassy Dixie (Corona Cartel-Klassy Chick); AG Sweet
Nina (One Sweet Jess-BHB Mighty); Ghan (Freighttrain B-Allies Cashin) and Licensed Jet Rock (Volcom-License To Thrill).

Mediante tres carreras de clasificación se obtuvieron los diez finalistas a este futurity abierto al que fueron inscritos 28 dos añeros. Jugaron una distancia de 400 yardas el
22 de noviembre, regresando a la pista 9 de los clasificados tres semanas después, debido al fallecimiento del potro Ehecatl AT. Se disputa- ron un premio de $1’180,100 pesos ($58,229 US aproximadamente).
Jess A Reason se posicionó con el mejor tiempo (19.602 segundos), seguido muy de cerca por One Happestance, que registró 19.634 segundos. Aunque con tiempos noto- riamente distintos, estos ejemplares fueron los que llegaron en primero y segundo lugar respectivamente.
Jess A Reason (#1) asumió el mando a gran velocidad desde la arrancada y, a medida que agotaba la distancia, impuso su dominio con facilidad hasta cruzar la meta con 1 largo y
3⁄4 delante del castrado One Happestance, deteniendo la máquina del tiempo en 19.41 segundos, para un speed index de 97. José Ángel Ambrosio Medina fue el conductor responsable de esta hazaña, que constituye su segundo triunfo en tres partidas.
El potro colorado fue criado en los Estados Unidos por Turner Farms; es hijo del semental Good Reason SA en la yegua Jess Send Me (por Feature Mr Jess). Es propiedad de la Cuadra Baldeli y proviene de la Subasta de Añales de
Ruidoso, donde lo adquirió el Médico Veterinario Rachuán Suárez, para la Jockemencionada cuadra radicada en el Estado de Chiapas.
Por este triunfo, el potro agregó $495,542 pesos ($24,456 US aproxi-
madamente) a su cuenta de ganancias. Fue ensillado por el entrenador Ismael Ayala Salas quien, junto con José Ángel Ambrosio, recibió los trofeos durante la premiación.

Para el tercer lugar finalizó la potranca
Mi Thai (Valiant Hero–SS Pamilla), bajo la dirección de Mario Alberto López Marmolejo. Representa los colores de la Cuadra H-R, e igualmente fue Ismael Ayala Salas el respon- sable de ensillarla, quien de esta forma hizo el 1, 2,3 en la meta.
Los demás participantes concluyeron
