BROODMARES IN FOAL RETURNING TO THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO
This form must be submitted to the New Mexico Horse Breeders Association prior to foaling.
For the resulting foal to be eligible for registration as a New Mexico Bred, the following must occur:
1. The $500 application fee for the Request Form for Broodmares in Foal to Leave New Mexico must have been paid no later than October 1st of the year bred as required by the rules or a penalty of $2,000 will apply (all fees are nonrefundable).
2. The NMHBA must have on file the Request Form for Broodmares in foal to leave New Mexico, if it was late, call NMHBA for further instructions & explanation of penalties.
3. The Broodmares in Foal Returning to the State form must be submitted to NMHBA prior to foaling (if sent by mail, the postmark must be prior to foaling date) or penalties may apply.
