Mildred N. Vessels Special Achievement winner Betty Raper has dedicated her life to
the industry and is best known as the co-owner of Belle Mere Farm. Betty and her husband began serving the horse industry in 1973. The farm originated in Yukon, Oklahoma, before moving to Norman, Oklahoma in the 1990s. She and husband Dee stood legendary stallions Easy Jet, Mr Eye Opener and Bully Bullion. The racing pride and joy of Dee and Betty Raper was Eye Yin You, who is a direct product of Bully Bullion and Mr Eye Opener. The homebred is the only horse to win both the Remington Park Futurity and then the Remington Park Derby in 2004 and 2005 respectively. She is also a member of OQHRA & AQHA. Belle Mere Farm was inducted into the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame in 2019.
