AQHRA Stallion Stakes Program
The AQHRA Stallion Stakes program’s purpose is to provide ad- ditional racing opportunities and incentives for foals sired by Alberta- based stallions. Last year this pro- gram delivered total purses for trials
and finals just over $85,000, offering a futurity, a derby and a maturity.
American Quarter Horse foals born in Alberta and “Accredited AB- Bred” by the AQHRA, are eligible for “foaled in Alberta” incentives. This
Breed Improvement program fund- ing in 2020 totaled $56,530 (com- bined owner/breeder/stallion/yearling sale incentive bonuses). Rules and conditions of the program may be found on the AQHRA website.
