“I think he is going to hit,” Ray continued. “A lot of people here in the Northwest are really interested in him. There aren’t many Favorite Cartels (at stud), and I am really high on him. He has a really good mind, and he is throwing that into his babies. They all have a very good hip and shoulder. He has the length that breeders look for. He is extremely well-balanced himself, and well put-together.”

Lazy E Ranch is home to the leading freshman sire of 2020, Jess Good Candy, and the Guthrie, Oklahoma, operation stands a pair of stallions with first-crop yearlings this year, including 2-time Champion KVN Corona. With any luck, Lazy E Ranch could have another leading contender for leading freshman sire of 2022 with either KVN Corona or The Marfa Lights.
A handsome gray horse, KVN Corona announced his arrival on the racing scene with an undefeated 2-year-old season in 2017. Perfect in six starts as a juvenile, KVN Corona won the Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1 at Los Alamitos. He won the PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-G2, also at Los Alamitos. At season’s end, his 6-for-6 mark and pair of Graded stakes scores earned him the title of Champion 2-Year-Old Colt.
For an encore, he won four of seven starts the following season as a 3 year old, including the El Primero Del Ano Derby-G3 at Los Alamitos. He also finished second in the Los

in the Ruidoso Derby-G1. Named 2018 Champion 3-Year-Old Colt, KVN Corona retired with a near-perfect overall record of 13- 10-1-0, having bankrolled $868,077. He stood the 2021 breeding season for $5,000. He stands as the property of Keith Nellesen.

KVN Corona is siring exceptional individuals as evidenced by the results of the Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale in January, where a short yearling colt by the young stallion fetched $65,000 from Run Bayou Ranch LLC. Named Ledge Is On Fire, the colt out of Sassy On Fire was consigned by Lazy E Ranch, Agent. KVN Corona was also represented by a $35,000 colt purchased by Victor Diaz at the same sale.

($352,581) and Lotta Blues Man ($935,399), Mr Apollitical Dash made 16 of his 18 starts in stakes company. In addition to his Graded stakes win, he also finished third in that year’s Old Habits Handicap at Los Alamitos.
At two, Mr Apollitical Dash came out running, winning his career bow by a 1/2-length at Los Alamitos. He captured three of six outings in his initial year of racing, including his All American Futurity trial at Ruidoso Downs. He also annexed his Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity trial and ultimately, finished fifth in the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity-G1 at 400 yards.
Mr Apollitical Dash descends from an accomplished family. His sire, Mr Jess Perry, was a Champion on the racetrack and is a World Champion sire. His dam, Apollitical Dash (by First Down Dash, AQHA’s all-time leading
sire of multiple World Champions), has also produced Grade 1-placed Oneapolliticalflight, second in the Ed Burke Million Futurity-G1 and a finalist for the Golden State Million Futurity-G1. Apollitical Dash is a half-sister to World Champion Apollitical Jess and is out of three-time Champion and AQHA Broodmare of the Year Apollitical Time.
Standing at James Ranch as the property of El Cabresto Inc., Mr Apollitical Dash stood the 2021 breeding season for $2,000.
