SIR LOUISIANA DASH

Multiple graded stakes winner Sir Louisiana Dash dominated 9 rivals in leading virtually start to finish in the 400-yard
LQHBA Breeders’ Derby-G3 at Evangeline Downs on Dec. 18.
With rider David Alvarez aboard, Sir Louisiana Dash broke in sixth position but quickly assumed command and took control
of the race. He darted to the front and was unchallenged in the run through the lane. He crossed the wire a measured 3/4-length in front of second-place finisher and fastest qualifier El Camino CL and jockey Noe Castaneda.
Sir Louisiana Dash stopped the timer in a brisk :19.335, just missing the 2013 track record of :19.292 set by Separatist Firstdown. Sir Louisiana Dash’s final clocking over the sloppy (sealed) track earned a speed index of 103.
