     DROP YOUR SOX DROP YOUR SOX
(July 8) - 1996 sorrel gelding Drop Your Sox (A Classic Dash-Merri Madam, Merridoc) died at the age of 25. Bred in California by Alvin Ely, Drop Your Sox sold as a yearling to Legacy Ranch Inc. He was claimed by
D. Wayne Lukas in his first start and Laura Pinelli purchased him in 1999 and owned
him for the remainder of his life. Drop My
Sox made 42 starts over 7 years, with 11 wins, three stakes wins and $141,181 in earnings. He was honored as an AQHA Superior Racehorse in 2000 and was the 1999 California Hi-Point 3-Year-Old Gelding.

CHAMPION CATCHMEINYOURDREAMS
(Aug. 4) - Five-time Champion Catchmeinyourdreams (Pritzi Dash-Lizas Mystique, White Tie) was laid to rest at the age of 22. He was buried on owner Kirk Goodfellow’s Dreams Come True Ranch in Nacogdoches, Texas, next to their AQHA Hall of Fame mare Dashing Phoebe. The 1999 gray gelding was bred by Dr. Ed Allred and purchased in utero
by Goodfellow. Over the span of seven years, he earned $1,040,929 winning 14 races, including eight stakes races. He was named Champion Aged Horse and Champion Aged Gelding in
FRENCHMANS GUY
2003; Champion Aged Gelding in 2004; and Champion Aged Horse and Champion Aged Gelding in 2005. Catchmeinyourdreams was retired in 2007 and enjoyed the rest of his days at Goodfellow’s ranch.
FRENCHMANS GUY
(Aug. 16) - 1987 palomino stallion Frenchmans Guy (Sun Frost-Frenchman’s Lady, Laughing Boy) was laid to rest at Myers Ranch. Bred
by James and Frances Loiseau and owned by Bill and Deb Myers, Frenchmans Guy is an all-time leading sire of barrel horses with over $10.9 million in earners. Frenchmans Guy graced the cover of the 2014 Speedhorse Barrel Stallion Register, and at the time Bill Myers said, “Whenever I think about it, it’s pretty overwhelming. Every broodmare we own, we owe to him. He got us financially stable with the money he generated. Then, you think about all the horses that he’s sired and what they’ve done - it’s just overwhelming. We’re very thankful. He’s stood the test of time. Every once in a while, you have to stop and pinch yourself. It’s like a fairy tale.” After his passing, Myers thanked God for the blessing of Frenchmans Guy, who had been a part of their family for 34 years, building their program and making it possible for them to do what they loved.

(Oct. 15) - 2016 Champion Aged Stallion Moonin The Eagle (One Famous Eagle-

was euthanized. The 2012 gray stallion
earned $548,985 winning seven races, including the Remington Park Invitational Championship-G1, Sam Abbey Memorial, Hialeah Maturity, and South Florida Derby. He was ranked as a leader by earnings in
2015 and 2016 and set 440-yard New Track Records at Remington Park and Hialeah Park. As a sire, Moonin The Eagle was the #3 leading freshman sire in 2020 and is currently ranked as the #3 leading sophomore sire of 2021. His top money earner is Grade 1 winner Flash Bak with $594,848 in 2021. Moonin The Eagle was bred by Vessels Stallion Farm LLC. He was seized by the federal government in 2016 and was then purchased by Bobby Cox for a record $2.1 million in the 2018 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale.
CHICKS TELL
1999 chestnut mare Chicks Tell (Chicks Beduino-Tell The Boys No, On A High) died at the age of 22 following health
complications. Chicks Tell won four races and earned $41,115 on the track, winning
the Huntington Beach Handicap, finishing second in the Prissy Fein Handicap, and
third in the Coronado Handicap and Cypress Handicap. The 2-time PCQHRA Broodmare of the Year is the dam of 37 foals, 34 starters, 27 winners, four stakes winners and the earners of over $2 million, including 2-time Champion Tell Cartel ($796,386) and 3-time stakes winner Forrest Fire ($335,306). Bred by Blane Schvaneveldt and owned by Martha F. Wells, Chicks Tell was laid to rest at Burns Ranch in California, her home for most of her life as a broodmare.
