Powerful Favorite si 98, who also is sired
by Favorite Cartel, led the brood in victories and stakes wins last year. Christopher O’Dell trains the gelding, who kicked off 2019 by winning his trial for the Los Alamitos Winter Derby and made trips to the winner’s circle a habit—kicking off a seven-race win streak for his owners at Rosenthal Ranch LLC. During his win streak, Powerful Favorite scored a trio of graded stakes wins in 2019: the Los Alamitos Winter Derby-G1, the El Primero Del Ano Derby-G3, and the Governor’s Cup Derby- RG3. The win streak ended with a second-place
run in his eighth and final start of 2019, the Los Alamitos Super Derby-G1. These victories propelled Powerful Favorite to a $436,715 bankroll last year.
Favorite Cartel sired half of Remember Me Rose’s eight starters in 2019, with the other four by Walk Thru Fire.
Other 2019 starters produced by Remember Me Rose included Intense Fire si 97 (by
