Those stakes winners include Ten Penny Cents and Tea Light.
Right Rigger is owned by Susan A. Hunter, and he stands at HunterCreek Farm in Roswell, New Mexico.
Izeright is one of two winners
from as many starters produced by Vowsmakemeblush, a winning daughter of the Fappiano stallion Desert God.
His second dam, the Farma Way mare Billijen, has foaled two winners from three starters, including Jengoneby, a winning full sister to Vowsmakemeblush who ran third in the 2011 Russell and Helen Foutz Distaff Stakes (R) at SunRay Park.
Izeright’s third dam, the unraced Halo mare Final Vows, produced Mighty Magee, a half sister to Jengoneby who won the 1996 Aqueduct Handicap (G3).
All told, Izeright has won two of five starts thus far in his racing career, and the $33,120 winner’s share of the Dine Stakes purse from his first stakes victory increased his total earn- ings to $49,397, all of which has been banked this season.
Marking Time finished third, 2 3/4 lengths behind Izeright, and was followed by Cheese Tray, Digger’s Gold, and Delbert Too.
Gaylon McGee’s Izeright, a homebred son of the Unbridled’s Song stallion Right Rigger, was a prompt 2-1 favorite in the May 30, $52,992 Dine Stakes (R) for New Mexico- bred 3-year-olds at SunRay Park.
Izeright covered 6 1/2 furlongs in 1:18.46, and he led at every call en route to a 2 1/4-length victory from Awesome Storm. Miguel Perez rode the gray or roan gelding for trainer Bart Hone.
Izeright broke fifth from the one-gate and immediately had a head lead at the first call. The gelding maintained that advantage until the final call, and then pulled ahead for his daylight victory.
Izeright was making his first start in New Mexico off of a Turf Paradise campaign during which he scored a two-length victory in a 6-furlong maiden-optional claiming ($30,000) sprint for 3-year-olds on April 7.
Izeright began his racing career on January 27 of this year as a three-year-old. He raced
at Turf Paradise until his victory at SunRay7 Park in the Dine Stakes.
The gelding’s sire, the lightly raced Right Rigger, has sired 13 winners from 22 starters and the earners of more than $1.4 million. He is the sire of four black-type stakes winners.
Runner-up Awesome Storm is a dark bay or brown son of the Indian Charlie stallion Awesome Indian purchased by Fincher Racing LLC and Norman W. Allen for $15,000 at
the 2019 New Mexico-Bred Sale at Ruidoso Downs. The gelding has won two of four starts, and the $11,040 runner-up share of the Dine Stakes pushed his bankroll to $30,530.
A daughter of the Bernardini stal-
lion Marking, Marking Time races for the Centurion Racing Partners LLC. The bay filly and half sister to multiple stakes winner Sunscreen has won two of seven starts and has earned $52,286 while racing in Arizona and New Mexico.
