The fourth annual Ruidoso Select Foal- In-Utero Sale was held on Friday, Aug. 28, during the first day of the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. Preliminary results show that 12 of the 19 consignments were sold and grossed $229,500 with an average of $19,125.
The high-seller at $42,000 was Hip #364, consigned by Dr. Rick Beck and purchased by MRB Racing, LLC. By World Champion/Multiple Champion sire Apol- litical Jess and out of multiple Champion Mongoose Jet Eye, the foal is a half-sibling to five black type runners.
The second-highest seller at $27,000 was Hip #352, consigned by Dr. Rick Beck and pur- chased by Cody Cobb. By World Champion/ Multiple World Champion sire/Champion Broodmare sire First Down Dash and out of Sandy June Bug.
