lready an established stakes winner, Big Dynasty
added another win to his already impressive resume with a victory in the $55,580 Remington Park Distance Championship-G1 on June 3.
Ridden by Noe Garcia, Big Dynasty broke
on top from the 5-post. They were never headed throughout the 870 yards, winning by a 3/4-length. They stopped the timer in :44.983, which was good for a 101 speed index.
The gelding scored the $32,046 winner’s share of the purse for owner Debbie Grimes and trainer Robi Meche, pushing his total lifetime earnings to $208,639.
In addition to this victory, Big Dynasty also won last year’s King Rick Rack Stakes-G3, TQHA 550 Stakes-RG3 and Tower Of The Americas Stakes.
Michael Partin bred Big Dynasty out of winner Delightfully Tres, who finished third in the 2010 AQRA Turf Paradise Derby and was also a finalist in the Rainbow Futurity-G1. She has produced three winners from five starters, including Especially Tres, winner of the 2013 Sam Houston Futurity-G1. Big Dynasty is her second stakes winner and top money earner.
O Donovan Rossa (Apollitical Jess-Shanachee) and jockey Bryan Candanosa finished in second for owner Kelly Yother Equine LLC and trainer Dee Keener. The 4-time stakes winner was coming off of a 1/2-length victory in the Pauls Valley Stakes-G2 on May 6.
Blue Star Racing’s Dak (Dominyun-Fleet Elis) finished third under L. Martinez for trainer James Gonzales III. Earlier this year, the gelding won the Remington Park Distance Challenge-G2.
Jessa Bit Of Candy (Jess Good Candy-Ity
Bitty Rarity), Bakers Big Ol Boy (Jess Louisiana Blue-Lynns Fortunate One) and The Grand Legend (FDD Going Grand-Legendary Seis) completed the order of finish.

Livewires Turnpike secured yet another stakes win in the $34,400 National Cowboy & Western Heritage Paint & Appaloosa Stakes-G1 at Remington Park on June 3.
The gelding broke in fourth under Francisco Calderon and within a few jumps he secured the lead. He continued to widen his margin throughout to cross the wire with a 1 1/2-length margin of victory. They completed the 440 yards in :21.258, while posting a career best 105 speed index.
Running for owner Bryan Hawk and trainer Matt Whitekiller, Livewires Tunrpike brought home $20,838, pushing his total bankroll to $194,874.
In addition to this victory, the gelding has visted the winner’s circle two other times this year in the Mister Lewie Memorial-G1 and Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Stakes-G1. His record now stands at 14-10(6)-1(1)-2.
Nolan Pevehouse bred Livewires Turnpike out of stakes placed Wagon On Turnpike, who finished second in the 2015 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Derby-G1. Wagon On Turnpike has produced 100% winners from four starters.
RP Reckless Wire APHA (CRM Livewire-RP Miss Recess Dash) and jockey Cody Wainscott finished in second place. The filly is trained by Dee Keener for owner Jeff Adams.
In third was Paint Em A Vision ApHC (Second Painted Sign QH-Emmas Vision) under Andrew Samaniego for owner/trainer Michael Moss.
Hold My Beer APHA (CRM Livewire-Irish Vendetta QH), Secret Livewire (CRM Livewire- Moonlight Who TB), RP Barracuda Dash APHA (Barracuda-RP Miranda Dash), Mr Apollo Blue ApHC (Jess Louisiana Blue QH-Allies Apollo) and Allies Favorite Sign ApHC (Second Painted Sign QH-Allies Apollo) completed the order of finish.

urty Darn Quick lived up to his name in the
$72,500 Boyd Morris Memorial-RG2 on May 27 at Remington Park. The four-year-old gelding broke on top from the No. 4 gate and led from wire to wire to notch his first win in stakes company this year after three previous attempts.
Ramiro Garcia was aboard as Purty Darn Quick made his impressive run. He led by a head going into the stretch then gained significant breathing room to reach the finish line winning by 3/4-length. The 400-yard trip took :19.634, registering a 95 speed index. The gelding is owned by John Hammes and Nick Hammes. John Hammes also trains Purty Darn Quick and co-bred the gelding with Tom Bradbury out of multiple winner Now Margaret. She has produced two winners from seven starters. Purty Darn Quick is her first stakes winner.
This marked the second career stakes victory for Purty Darn Quick; he also won the 2020 running of the Prairie Meadows Juvenile Challenge. Purty Darn Quick collected his fifth career win in 23 total starts. The $42,300 first-prize share of the Boyd Morris purse improved the gelding’s total earnings to $238,602.
Apollitical Payoff (Apollitical Jess-Seis The Royal Cash) took runner-up honors for Brenda Reiswig. The Jason Olmstead trainee had Edwin Escobedo aboard. Just A Kool Boy (Favorite Cartel- Just Eagle) placed third. Adina Baker owns the colt, who is trained by Eddie D. Willis and had Justine Klaiber in the irons.
Rounding out the order of finish, One Fabulous Boy (One Fabulous Eagle-Check Out Katie) was fourth, followed by Awesome View (Hes Relentless-Ivory Key), Nobby Walsh (Jess Good Candy-Shanachee), and Jess B One (PYC Paint Your Wagon-Jess B Mighty). Jess Special Folly V was scratched.
