SUNRAY PARK OFFERS STAKES SCHEDULE WORTH MORE THAN $1.17 MILLION
SunRay Park near Farmington, New Mexico, will offer a stakes schedule worth more than $1.17 million during its 18-day Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse race meet, which opens April 22.
A total of 13 stakes are scheduled, seven for Thoroughbreds and six for
Quarter Horses. Of the seven stakes restricted to New Mexico-breds, four
are for Thoroughbreds and three are for Quarter Horses. All four of the state-
bred Thoroughbreds will offer purses of $100,000-guaranteed, and the track’s richest race for any breed, the 350-yard New
Mexico Breeders’ Futurity (RG3) for state- bred 2-year-old Quarter Horses, will offer a purse of $120,000-added.
SunRay Park will offer live racing on a Friday-through-Sunday schedule through May 29. For more information on the meet, visit the track’s website at www.sunraygaming.com.
