In the June 2020 issue of Speedhorse, we ran the article “Promoting Substance Integrity In Racing.” In the article, the horse Jess B Glory, owned by Homer Hill, was listed as being trained
by Marcos Carrizales and finish- ing fifth in the Easy Date Stakes. Jess B Glory did finish fifth in
the Easy Date Stakes, however, is trained by Eddie Willis. Marcos Carrizales trained the #5 horse, First N Sassy, who finished 7th.

Tac It Like A Man Dies
Tac It Like A Man (First Down Dash-Jumping Tac Flash, Tolltac) died of heart failure on June
21 in Brazil. Standing most of his breeding career at Lazy E Ranch and a short time at Zerlotti Genetics, the stallion moved to Brazil in 2017. The 16-year-old stallion was owned by TAC Syndicate at the time of his death. Bred and
owned by Double Bar S Ranch LLC and trained by Jaime Gomez during his race career, Tac It Like A Man earned $417,763 winning the Governor’s Cup Futurity-RG1 and the PCQHRA Breeders’ Futurity-G1. Tac It Like A Man is the sire of
over $5.5 million in earners from just 10 crops to race, including top stakes winners Igotyourtac ($577,067) and The Long Knife ($425,699). “Completely heartbroken to hear the news of Tac It Like A Man passing,” said Dawn and Rhonda Rae List of Double Bar S Ranch.
Joyous Eyes Killed
The 1998 mare Joyous Eyes (Mr Eye Opener-Joyous Bug, Bugs Alive In 75) was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting on June 3 at the home of breeder/owner Dolores Hill in Moore, Oklahoma. Joyous Eyes won one race and earned her ROM on the track, and then moved to the barrel arena where she earned an additional $23,760. She is the dam of 100% money earners/ROM, and is from the family of multiple race and barrel winners, including stakes winner Joyous Bug ($58,183).
