Cody Wainscott is aboard Zazas Island Girl for the win in Trial #1.
Trial #1
Race #2 – Zazas Island Girl (#4) broke in second and dueled throughout to finish a nose in front for the fastest qualifying time. RP Dirty Barracuda (#5) broke on top but slipped into fourth and made a late surge to grab second for the second fastest qualifying time. Mighty Furrgee (#6) finished third for the third fastest time and was followed by Zbars Livewire Fs (#1) in fourth with the fifth fastest time, and Domestic Dude (#3) in fifth for the ninth fastest time.
Jesus Salazar leads PFR Quickwire to finish first in Trial #2.
Trial #2
Race #3 – PFR Quickwire (#6) broke in fourth but made a late surge to secure a 1/2-length winning margin, good for the fourth qualifying spot. Mimosa Lady (#4) broke well but settled for second and the sixth fastest time. Jess Beachin (#1) was third with the seventh fastest time and was followed by Salt Wire (#2) in fourth for the eighth fastest time and Marfas Big Deal (#5) in fifth with the final qualifying spot.
