Docs Dusty Cartel extended his win streak to four in dominant fashion on July 24, taking first place in the $203,633 Speedhorse
Futurity-G3 by a commanding margin of 1 3/4-lengths.
A two-year-old colt home-bred by Dusty Rose Ranch LLC, Docs Dusty Cartel made his debut in a trial for the Oklahoma Futurity. In that race, he got bumped between foes and finished eighth. Since then, Docs Dusty Cartel has been to the winner’s circle in each of his subsequent races. That win streak has included two stakes events, both of them Graded:
this Grade 3 futurity and the FL Lady Bug Stakes-RG3.
Given his recent success, after also winning his July 9 Speedhorse Futurity trial wire-to- wire by 2-lengths and topping the qualifying ladder with a time of :17.741, Docs Dusty Cartel was the heavy post-time favorite at just under even-money odds.
