Trial #1 –
Race #6 – JC Wild King (#5) broke on top and was never headed to finish 1-length in front for the fastest qualifying spot, followed by MH Apollitical Spy (#4) in second for the third qualifying spot. Coyotee Dale (#7) came in third to hold the fifth qualifying spot, with Spotty Politics (#6) in fourth for the sixth fastest qualifying spot. Cashmere And Beer (#2) was able to grab the eighth qualifying spot after finishing fifth.
JC Wild King’s winning connections include owner/breeder Jose Cervantes, trainer Fidencio Jimenez and jockey James Flores.
Trial #2 –
Race #7 – Willie McBride (#8) broke in fifth and made a late surge for the lead, crossing the wire 3/4-length in front to grab the seventh qualifying spot. He was followed by Isa Super Freak (#8) in second for the final qualifying spot. Quorumm (#4) finished in third.

Trial #3 –
Race #8 – Cindydoesitagain (#7) broke on top and stayed throughout to cross the wire 3/4-length in front, securing the second fastest qualifying spot. Political Babbel (#3) came in second to grab the fourth qualifying spot. BP Prime Time (#1) came in third for the ninth fastest qualifying time.
