Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Stakes-G1
QUEEN FOR CASH
by John Moorehouse
The only Appaloosa in the field for the $43,950 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Stakes-G1 ended up standing tall over her competitors.
Queen For Cash ApHC opened her 2021 campaign by scoring the second stakes vic- tory of her career, prevailing on March 20 at Remington Park.
Gary Vaughan, who home-bred the filly, had high hopes for Queen For Cash long before she took to the track based on her bloodline. Queen For Cash’s second dam
is ApHC Hall of Famer Sure Nuff Fast. Vaughan also home-bred Queen For Cash’s dam, Ivory Queen ApHC, who produced about $47,000 in earnings and finished second in the 2011 running of the Cricket Bars Futurity.
“She qualified for every futurity I ever put her in,” Vaughan recalled regarding Queen For Cash’s dam Ivory Queen. “This filly is her first baby to go to the track.”
