   Smithworks Sets Top Qualifying Time at the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Trials
Smithworks, son of APHA World Cham- pion Painted Turnpike and out of the Mighty Invictus (QH) mare Shesa Mighty Chick cov- ered 300 yards in just 15.706 seconds. Jockey Francisco Calderon, trainer Matt Whitekiller and owner Bryan Hawk of Shawnee, Oklahoma, celebrated in the winner’s circle following the Oklahoma Paint and Appaloosa Futurity trials on March 7.

2021 Pot of Gold Futurity Update

2020 PBRIP Year-End Winners Honored
Congratulations to Extreme Chico and owner Jill Beaty of Elgin, Oklahoma, who closed 2020 with 158 points in APHA’s Paint Barrel Racing Incentive Program competition to capture the PBRIP High-Point Champion title. Along the way, they claimed the 2D champion- ship, too. Jill will receive a Gist Silversmiths trophy buckle for her high-point win at the annual PRBIP awards presentation on April
10 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Champions in each division receive a KO Trad- ing Saddle along with a cash prize. Runner-up awards include a trophy buckles, breast collars, bell boots, spurs and reins.
