All Pointz Bulletin, who captured her trial dash by a 1/2-length on March 6, stopped the timer in :17.612 in the main event, earning a speed index of 91 in her first stakes victory for trainer Monty Arossa.
“We tried some new things to get her to calm down and it seems to have worked,” Arrossa shared with the media following his charge’s gutsy score. “We ponied her and that has done the trick. That was a tough field. I just want to thank the crew and Francisco (winning rider). They did a wonderful job with her.”
Francisco Calderon was also impressed with his mount’s effort. “She sure is gutsy,” he said. “She tried so hard to get there. But I expected it. We have been getting her calm. She’s such a professional. She’s just awesome.”
With the hard-earned win, All Pointz Bulletin now boasts 4 wins from 8 lifetime starts, and the $105,080 winner’s share of
the purse increased her bankroll to $137,308. The brown filly broke her maiden at Ruidoso Downs last August and returned in October to take an allowance race at Will Rogers Downs, giving her back-to-back wins as a juvenile.
Bred in Oklahoma by Bobby Cox, All Points Bulletin is out of the Corona Cartel mare All N The Jeans.
Runner-up Dashing Movement (A Dashing Valentine-Seis Of Hearts) just missed for owner Josefina Guzman and trainer Santos Carrizales Jr. The stakes winner and graded stakes-
placed gelding won the 2021 G.C.F.A. July Firecracker Futurity at Gillespie Fairgrounds and finished third in the Dash for Cash Futurity-G2 at Lone Star Park. The 5-time winner was bred in Texas by Minne De Leon.
Valerity (Volcom-Corona Couture) finished a close third at odds of 39-1 after nearly
seeing the lead in the lane. Owned by Troy McClennen and trained by Jesus Ruiz, Valerity was bred in Oklahoma by DSK Ltd. Now graded stakes-placed, Valerity won in her career debut last March and remains in search of her second win.
