   Signs Of Livewire Wins Grade 1 $231,600 Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity
At his racing debut last month at Remington Park, Signs Of Livewire, a son of CRM Livewire and out of a PYC Paint Your Wagon (QH) daughter, was definitely on fire, winning both his trial race and the finals of the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity.
At the trials on March 4, Signs Of Livewire had the fastest qualifying time of :15.679, earning an 82 speed index into a 14 mph headwind with jockey Jesus Salazar. The
bay tobiano stallion came back for the finals on March 19, crossing the finish line in :15.37 and earning $93,310 in two races for owner Jeff Adams of Durant, Okla. Signs Of Livewire is trained by Dee Keener and was bred by Alexia Willis of Maysville, Okla.
The Osc Goldenboy finished second.

Livewires Turnpike Wins Inaugural Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Juvenile Race
Livewires Turnpike didn’t live up to his full potential in the Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity trials on March 4 when he finished third and didn’t qualify for the finals. But he more than made up with that less-than-stellar career debut by winning the first running of the $30,000 Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Juvenile on March 19 at Remington Park.
With Cody Smith in the irons, the two- year-old black solid gelding, by CRM Livewire and out of Wagon On Turnpike, won easily
in :15.624 over 300 yards, earning a 84 speed index on a fast track. Under the guidance of trainer Ty Blackwell, Livewires Turnpike earned
$12,738 for owner Bryan Hawk of Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was bred by Nolan Pevehouse of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma.

$175,000 Estimated Purse for 2022 PSBA American Paint Classic
With $75,000 in added money and a chance to win an estimated $175,000,
don’t miss the 2022 PSBA American Paint Classic-one of the biggest races of the year. Remington Park will host the trials on April 8, with the finals as a 330-yard overnight stake race on April 23.

Race for Riches in the Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1
With 53 horses nominated as of press time, the Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity-G1 is the richest Paint race of the year with an estimated purse of $250,000. Oklahoma City’s Remington Park will host this 350-yard race for two year olds with

Save the Dates: Colors of Houston Futurity & Running Colors of the Alamo Futurity
Sam Houston Race Park will host the trials of the 28th Colors of Houston Futurity G2 on May 27 and the finals on June 11. This 300- yard race for two year olds offers a projected
purse of $65,000, including $10,000 for accredited Texas-bred Paint Horses.
The 15th Running Colors of the Alamo Futurity G3 returns to Retama Park in Selma, Texas, with trials on August 4 and finals on August 20. This 350-yard race for two year olds boasts a projected purse of $55,000, including $12,000 for accredited Texas-bred Paint Horses.

BBR World Finals Welcomes First PBRIP Sidepot
Paint barrel racers-get ready to run for a $1,000- added PBRIP sidepot, sponsored by APHA, at the 2022 BBR World Finals, held April 19-23 in Guthrie,

Barrel Racers: Come to Texas and Run for $28K+
The Texas Paint Horse Breeders Association added five $2,500 incentives to barrel racing events across Texas along with $1,000 Texas- Bred Incentives at each, to split between the three fastest times for Paints foaled in Texas. Mark your calendars!
