2018 to 2019
By Catalin Varela
This past year, Net ix outdid itself with the release of so many great new shows, and it looks like we can expect some great shows in 2019 as well. Here are just a few of the shows released in 2018 that are worth a watch, and the ones to keep an eye out for this year.
2018:
“Grace and Frankie” (Season 4)
If you fell in love with “Grace and Frankie”
when the rst season was released in 2015, the release of season 4 was anything but disappointing. Starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, “Grace and Frankie” is about two women who become friends after their husbands declare they are in love with each other.
“Orange Is the New Black” (Season 6)
This popular Net ix show is based on Piper Kerman’s memoir, “Orange Is the New Black: My Year in a Woman’s Prison” about her experience in federal prison. Originally released in 2013, “Orange is the New Black” has become the most watched Net ix original series.
“Queer Eye” (Reboot)
Yes, this title sounds familiar for a reason... “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” was launched on cable television in 2003.
The premise? A group of queer men
known as the Fab Five help straight men makeover all aspects of their lives including grooming, fashion, and interior design.
The incredibly popular reality show was rebooted in 2018 and we haven’t gotten over it yet.
2019:
“Tidying Up With Marie Kondo”
Marie Kondo, a Japanese organizing consultant, developed the “KonMari” method of organizing and among many other accomplishments she has become a Net ix sensation. Marie Kondo helps families declutter their homes and viewers can watch the whole process from the comfort of their couch. Not only is it really entertaining, but it will likely motivate you to clean the house.
“Friends from College” (Season 2)
“Friends from College” premiered
on Net ix in July 2017, and just as it sounds, this show is the hilarious story of Harvard graduates who reconnect after graduation. Season 2 is a must watch for sure.
