orea and Canada have fostered close and enduring friendship since the early days
Kof our shared history. This shared history has been defined by important markers
such as the contributions of Canadian missionaries on the Korean peninsula 120 years
ago, as well as the sacrifices of Canadian soldiers who served during the Korean War 60
years ago.

In recognition of the importance of developing this special friendship and building
upon the legacy of our forefathers, Korea continues to emphasize and facilitate cultural
exchange and dialogue in the hopes of bringing Korean and Canadian citizens closer
together.

With this in mind, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Canada has been actively
promoting the Korea-Canada Blog by working with Canadians and Korean-Canadians
who share deep interests in Korean culture, and who are engaged as e-Reporters to create
an online space for cultural exchange and dialogue.
These dedicated e-Reporters of the Korea-Canada Blog have been active throughout
the year, sharing stories of their experiences of, and in, Korea, that have become widely
read in Canada and across the globe.
