We are thrilled to have collaborated with Professor Craig S. Kaplan, who is a computer
scientist from the University of Waterloo in Toronto, Canada, to create a few designs
that have opened our eyes to new ways of seeing what a oorcovering can be.
We see the designs as a marriage of between an ancient craft tradition and computer
generated geometry and possessing a certain Heath Robinson/Rube Goldberg
                                                        quality to it.

In the Islamic Parquet Deformation pattern the 10 point star undergoes parquet
deformation in a pleasing almost imperceptible manner.

In the Grid pattern shapes gradually evolve in space creating a maze-like tiling
of the plane. They are the aesthetic cousins of Escher's Metamorphosis prints.
