Hydrocephalus can be described as mild, moderate, or severe.
There are two main types of hydrocephalus, communicating and non-communicating.
Communicating hydrocephalus is apparent when the obstruction lies outside of the ventricular system, while non- communicating hydrocephalus is when the obstruction level is located within the ventricular system.
