online: december 2 & 3, 2023
In-person: december 3, 2023
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q WHO RECEIVES THE MONEY FROM GIFTS OF HOPE MARKET?
A ALL of the proceeds from the market are donated to the partner groups and go to work for
good in the community, region, across the U.S. and around the world
Q I LIKE TO PURCHASE GIFTS THAT I CAN WRAP. IS THERE ANYTHING HERE FOR ME?
A Absolutely! In this catalog you will find hand-crafted bracelets and two sizes of zipper
pouches from Eripoto for Girls and Women, as well as olive oil pressed from an 800-tree
grove on the Mount of Olives. Or, use a bit of creativity to highlight your monetary donation
as a wrapped package or stocking stuffer.
For starters:
Wrap a bike horn to announce The Lincoln Bike Kitchen donation that provided brake
cables, chains or a milk crate bike basket.
Purchase a small stuffed animal to explain your purchase of the goat, chick, rooster or pig
that will become part of God’s Global Barnyard, providing food and income. Pair a jar of
local honey with your gift of bees.
Donations of a Food BackPack for a Lincoln family, a winter coat or shoelaces for a child
welcomed by Border Servant Corps or preschool or nursing scholarships are perfect ways
to honor a teacher.
Fill a handmade Eripoto zipper bag with silver-wrapped chocolates or use it to hold a gift
card and a hand-written note.
The December 3 in-person Gifts of Hope market will offer handmade items from members of
First Lutheran Church, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Wahoo, NE, and Madagascar and
Cameroon — all to support Gifts of Hope partners.
Q GREAT IDEAS! NOW, HOW DO I GET STARTED? AND, WHAT IF I NEED HELP?
A Make a list of people you shop for during the holidays or throughout the year. Remember
birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, gifts for hosts, a baptism, card or book groups and
other friendship groups. Gifts of Hope are perfect year-round!
