Originally named, Mt. Pinagbanderahan. It means where the flag
was hoisted. Historical accounts revealed that during World War II, a
Japanese air craft crashed on this mountain with some soldiers sur-
viving. To commemorate their survival, they hoisted a flag on its
peak, so locals started calling it Pinagbanderahan.
