Cavite is known for numerous historical landmarks,
festive celebrations, a place for nature lovers and of
course, its wide range of delicious food to choose
from. Perfect for Filipinos penchant for eating.
A trip to General Trias for its famous “Kesong Puti”
will be a delight to your taste buds. The town is
popular for its healthy and fine tasting delicacy
from naturally processed Carabao’s Milk called
“Kasilyo” othr wise known as the famous “Kesong
Puti” (white cheese). It has a soft, smooth texture
with hints of sour and salty flavors because it uses
vinegar as the coagulant and salt is added
beforehand. It is commonly eaten during breakfast
with pandesal, rice cakes, puto or bibingka or can
also be used in various Filipino dishes.
Head onto Gentri’s Best store at Arnaldo Highway,
Santiago and choose from their offerings of dairy
products such as pastillas, yema, flavored milk and
iced candy. You can usually buy “Kesong Puti” in
the local markets in Silang, Imus and Noveleta but
make sure to be extra early as it usually runs out
due to high demand of orders.
