Bright future in pharmacy

The pharmacy profession dedicates itself to a philosophy of aractise that clearly identi-
fies the patient as its primary beneficiary. The time has come to unify the profession in pursuit
of its patient care mission. Pharmacy is maturing as clinical profession and presently is well
positioned to transform itself from a product oriented to a patient oriented profession.

The future of pharmacy profession will not depend meredly on dispensing of medication
but it will have the duties such as providing relevant information and doing therapy recom-
mendation to the patients.

Likewise the future pahrmacist or a modern hospital, pharmacist may have more knowl-
edge about all kinds of medication including their adverse effects, interaction proper dosing,
And monitoring parametes, as to Dr. Sunil Kumar Jain, chief pharamacist, AIIMS hospital.

Medical transcription : the B Pharm graduate can work with medical practitioners to
maintain the patient history the drug to which he/she allergic etc.
Sales and marketing : ambitious achievers with pleasant personality and good communi-
cation skills can opt. for the job medical sales representative.
Clinical research : a pharmacist can work as clinical research associate and can rise to the
