The mouse remains in this dismal existence because it $nds nothing but a toothless corpse.
IX. A spring ring from a collection jar, or an old pen, or a clump of dyed hair, or a handkerchief, or a towel,
or a handful of yellow paint, or a fob watch, or a fake gun from the middle of the bottom shelf of your
dad's closet.
X. An epileptic $sherwoman dragging a 55-pound !ounder back and forth.
XI. A collection of abandoned Atari game machines, lying on a table under a growling bookcase.
XII. A sleeping clown on a lawn chair, moves a black cane in the dirt, smiling and looking rather content. XIII. XXIII. Ladders fashioned out of broken fragments of movie projectors are lifted by the previous denizens of a
now gentri$ed community.
XXIV. A destroyed piece of the Statue of Liberty being held by a pair of twins wearing red and blue.
XXV. Wounded people in dressing gowns hang on to each other while a crowds gathers.
XXVI. A hallway where your uncle $gures out what you really are through hieroglyphics you are too afraid to
read. The uncle never speaks again.
XXVII. An individual and their android assistant, both of whom are wet behind the ears and (presumably)
somewhat disturbed.
XXVIII. A mother in maternity clothes, still, wishing she was still.
XXIX. The two of us trying to pretend that nothing has happened.
XXX. Aging, half-naked sex worker, washes off cum with leaves that hold the secrets of the river Styx as birds
watch in every window.
