This is another example of the effectiveness of the round turn.

If you have to hitch with a thick rope or if you are mooring a vessel that has
a tendency to drift, this knot should be tied. It is often used by boaters to moor a
barge.
The secret of this knot is that it is not really a knot. It is held by the round
turns and the tension on the end of the rope.

1 - Start with a series of round turns.
There should be at least three or four to be able to hold adequately.
